A Certified Carpenter

Two years ago, Kalu started a carpentry training program.  In two years you are able to get your diploma certified by the ministry of education.  Now Kalu has “proof” of his carpentry skills.  Going to school every Saturday for two years is no small feat….way to go Kalu!!  As you can see in the pic, some of the youth we work with came to the graduation today to congratulate Kalu.  We hope to have more youth take part in this program at Liceo Guatemala, a pristigious school here in Xela.  This technical training center started 4 years ago — it offers carpentry, electricity, welding & nursing.
